Insert-Coin at Playstation / kunst Meran|o arte / It

The exhibition, curated by Valerio Dehò presents a comparative array of works by contemporary artists: Renaissance toys (Thomas Feuerstein), the tradition of popular mechanics (Francesco Bocchini), metaphors for science (Tomas Eller and Enrico T. De Paris) and farming traditions linked to the transformation of pigs into food (Chiara Lecca). Videogames in their turn are well represented, transformed as they are by the Viennese ZugZwangZukunft, or in Antonio Riello’s software in which the war simulated is one really taking place between Italian armed units and clandestine immigrants. Marco Di Giovanni rekindles the sense of wonder as an ingredient of play, while Josef Rainer peoples the world with tiny dolls until it comes to resemble a television programme.
